Privacy Policy

Last Updated: October 22, 2026 • Effective Date: October 22, 2026

1. Overview

This Privacy Policy applies to the Did I Like It? mobile application (Google Play package ID: com.didilikeit.app) and the website didilike.com (collectively referred to as "the Service"), operated by ChadsCode ("we", "our", or "us").

We believe personal food journals should remain personal. We do not sell your personal data, track you across the web, or build advertising profiles from your restaurant choices.

2. Information We Collect

A. User-Generated Journal Data:

When you use the Did I Like It? app, you can create and store restaurant names, dish titles, meal ratings (Liked, Meh, Disliked), personal notes, prices paid, and photos. This content is stored on your device and, if enabled, synced securely with your connected cloud account.

B. Device & Diagnostic Telemetry:

To maintain app reliability and diagnose crashes, the app may collect anonymous diagnostic information via standard Google Play Services (such as Android OS version, device model, and crash logs). This information does not identify individual meals or personal identities.

3. Device Permissions & How They Are Used

  • Camera & Storage / Photos: Requested strictly when you choose to take a photo of your meal or select an existing food photo from your device gallery. We do not scan or access images outside the specific photos you attach to a dish.
  • Internet Access: Used to check for updates, load restaurant search suggestions if online, and synchronize your data. The core dish diary remains fully usable without an active internet connection.

4. How Your Information Is Used

We use your information exclusively to:

  • Display your past restaurant visits and meal ratings to you when you need them.
  • Provide search, filtering, and offline synchronization capabilities.
  • Fix bugs, improve app stability, and deploy performance enhancements.

5. Data Sharing and Third Parties

We do not sell, rent, monetize, or disclose your personal journal data to advertisers, data brokers, or marketing networks. Information is only shared with third-party service providers (such as Google Play and hosting infrastructure) solely to the extent necessary to deliver the application.

6. Data Retention and Deletion

You have complete ownership over your food memory data. You can edit or permanently delete individual dish entries or restaurants directly within the app at any time. Clearing the application data or uninstalling the app deletes local stored data from your device.

7. Children’s Privacy

Did I Like It? does not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under the age of 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can promptly delete it.
